Thanks for joining us at the 15th annual Mat-Su Emergency Preparedness Expo. There was a great turnout for our training presentations. Dozens of people practiced hands-only CPR on manikins that proivide live CPR feedback. We brought 4 different AEDs for visitors to learn about and apply to manikins. It was the first time most people had seen AEDs with LED screens and feedback devices built into the electrodes. Kids and adults practiced helping to relieve the pediatric and adult choking victim. Several new parents learned how to helping the choking infant! We also gave away Naloxone opiate overdose response kits. Everyone was welcome to practice improvising a tourniquet, apply a CAT Tourniquet, and pack wounds using QuikClot gauze! We look forward to next years gathering!
